This table lamp is built around a form that feels instantly familiar — clearly readable as a lamp. The design becomes interesting in how that recognisable shape is reworked through material, finish and proportion. A raw surface meets a thick, glossy coating, introducing contrast and tension into an otherwise classic outline. Shaped by the shared vision of Teun Zwets and HKLIVING, the lamp turns a functional object into a compact design statement with presence and attitude.

Teun Zwets doesn’t design politely — and that’s exactly why we wanted to work with him. His approach is unfiltered: loud colours, unapologetic gloss, rough materials that look like they’ve been dragged straight out of the workshop. There’s no ego in the work, but there is attitude. Together we pushed furniture into a new territory, one where a chair or accessory doesn’t just blend in — it leads. These pieces behave more like characters than static objects.
